300 members of New Congress party joins BJP

Chandigarh April 5, 2014: As many as 300 members of New Congress Party and 30 members of Janata Market joined the Bharatiya Janata Party during a ‘Padyatra’ in sector 8B. BJP’s Mandal No. 1 of District No. 1, President, Gurpreet Singh Bedi had organized the event.

The occasion marked the special presence of the BJP’s MP candidate, Kirron Kher, State President, Sanjay Tandon, Senior Deputy Mayor, Heera Negi, District President, BC Puri. They were accompanied by the office secretary, Gajender Sharama, Mahesh Inder Singh, Satish, Atul and other party workers.

While welcoming the new entries into the party, Sanjay Tandon said, “The common man of the country is suffering from the inflation and the current situation of the country indicates a need for the change in the political system. Despite, holding the required educational degrees youth is unemployed. The economic growth of the country is facing stagnancy. Instead of working on development agenda, the UPA government remained busy in various scams.”

Adding to it, Tandon said that the sitting Congress MP, Pawan Kumar Bansal failed to resolve the long pending issues of the city. He said that the common man was aware today and would support for a change. Tandon proclaimed that BJP was inching closer towards the victory.
