Adopting the ‘Go Getter’ approach much like BJP’s prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi, Kirron carried out an aggressive campaign in the city on Sunday.
After seeking the God’s blessings at Gurudwara of Sector 30 at 7.30 am on Sunday, the MP candidate, Kirron geared up for canvassing in her turf. With a big band of supporters, celebratory drumbeats, Kirron Kher followed by convoy of cars began her road show from Ward No 18. The residents started coming out of their houses to meet the charismatic personality Kirron Kher.

Chandigarh March 30, 2014: The senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Arun Jaitley who is also contesting from the Amristar Lok Sabha seat convened a special meeting with the State President, Chandigarh, Sanjay Tandon at his residence in sector 18 today.
While sharing the details of the meeting, Sanjay Tandon said, “I briefed Arun Jaitley about the ongoing poll campaigns of the party in Chandigarh. Besides, he also sought the details on the strategy being adopted to win the confidence of the people and had detailed discussion on people’s response towards the campaigns. Congress ignored the problems of less privileged communities: Kirron Kher
Chandigarh March 28, 2014: If the local MP had been an efficient leader then the people of Chandigarh would not have to run from pillar to post to get their issues resolved. This was stated by the Bharatiya Janata Party’s MP candidate for Lok Sabha seat of the city, Kirron Kher today. She has participated in a political debate held at Maharashtra Bhawan, Sector 19 which was organized by the Chandigarh Confederation of Workers and Employees. The senior leaders from other parties who took part in the debate included H S Lucky, Congress, Manish Kumar, BSP, Kamaljot, CPI, Gul Panag, Aam Aadmi Party.
Touching the sensitive issues, Kirron Kher raised many important questions at the debate. “Why didn’t the sitting congress MP, Pawan Kumar Bansal raise the issue of providing regular jobs to contractual workers at the centre? Despite getting the full support from the voters, the four-time MP failed to represent Chandigarh’s problems in an effective manner in the Parliament”, she said.

Chandigarh March 28, 2014: After finishing her day-long campaigning, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s MP candidate for Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat, Kirron Kher, reached at a hotel oyster, sector 17 on Thursday. The senior advocate, Chetan Mittal had hosted dinner. Noted businessmen, traders and lawyers of the city also arrived. Besides, the BJP’s senior leader, Satya Pal Jain and other office-bearers accompanied Kirron Kher.
Chetan Mitttal welcomed all the guests and also expressed gratitude towards Kirron Kher who had come to the High Court on Wednesday. Over a discussion, Satya Pal Jain appealed to the present members to vote for Kirron Kher to bring a change in the political system of the city. He also said that around 80 percent of the populace wanted to see Narendra Modi as the prime minister of the nation according to the various surveys being carried out by news channels.
