Kirron Kher vows to resolve problems of Chandigarh at ‘Thanks Giving Ceremony’ of BJP


Chandigarh May 23, 2014: The newly-elected MP of Chandigarh, Kirron Kher of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) conveyed heartfelt gratitude towards all those who worked hard in ensuring the victory at a ‘Thanks Giving Ceremony’ hosted by the party. The event which was held at an open ground adjacent to Hanuman Temple, Sector 32 A registered a large participation of BJP’s senior leaders, party workers and office bearers.

While speaking on the occasion, Kirron Kher said, “It is an achievement to get victorious with thumping margin in the city. On this occasion I want to give my special thanks to BJP’s State President, Sanjay Tandon and Organisation Secretary, Ajay Jamwal who put extra-ordinary efforts to bring success in my lap. Besides, I want to mention that Harmohan Dhawan and Satya Pal Jain too ensured that I emerge as a winner. I also want to take the name of Deputy Organizational Secretary, Sahdev Salaria here who stood by me during the elections. The most important contribution was made by the party workers who worked day and night to garner the support of the common man. Now I will stay in the city and will resolve the problems of the residents”.

Adding to it, BJP’s State President Sanjay Tandon said, “It is good to see happy faces of my party workers today. I remember that our road has been hard, our journey has been tough, but we fought our way back and have brought positive results.  I want to congratulate our Asha ki Kirron Kher for registering the victory and bringing an end to 15 years long congress’ misrule in Chandigarh. I want to thank every party worker who participated in this election. Our Chandigarh unit has made the voice heard and made a difference. I want to thank our hard working campaign team and volunteers for ensuring the wonderful future of the BJP”.

While remembering the contribution made by people of Chandigarh, Sanjay Tandon said, “I want to thank the residents of Chandigarh who waited in a line for long time for electing us and I am grateful to those who voted for the first time. The party understands its responsibilities and will work together to serve the city beautiful. We love this city and all of us will sit together to take Chandigarh forward. I believe that we can capture the future together”.

BJP’s In-charge, Arti Mehra also shared her views and thanked the party unit. She informed that the party was committed to work for the betterment of people.
